  3. Dude, I don't think you'll ever read this but here it goes: i just bought Donnybrook. I'm from Costa Rica, btw, and just what I can tell you is goddam you know how to write. Your sentences are like fucking poetry. Seriously. TS Eliot would be proud. i'm not a prophet or anything, but in a few years, when people ask: "Who's the best living American novelist", your name is gonna pop up. Promise. Peace out.

  4. Hello from Wisconsin. While delving into southern gothic and country noir, I stumbled upon your work. Read Crimes and loved it. You seem to have carved out a style all your own, with some great characters and imagination rooted in reality. The countdown to the release of Donnybrook has been a nail biter for me, and now that it is here, I am going out of my skull not having read it yet. What a taste of that world Cold, Hard Love gave. You see, the problem is that I still like the physicality of books. I went and got the British hardcover of Crimes and have been waiting for a hardcover version of Donnybrook. It looks like one exists, but where to get it in the States? I was hoping you knew of a resource?

  5. Hi Frank,

I'm in San Diego. Problem is I've got a prior engagement on the 23rd that I can't escape. Can you do a second reading at the Abbey that week? Or the Cherrybomb? Great barfight potential there.

  6. frank, got both of your books on amazon, good job!, and keep up the good work. after reading your interesting works and donald ray and crews and buk, it's hard to read some of the overly wordy self-indulgent stuff that's out there. keep real and you'll go far.or not , sometimes a writer or artist isn't appreciated in the 'popular' realms until after they've passed on, just keep writing the stuff that you enjoy writing, peace -out, from rich prisuta
